The Hilton Austin decided that their casual dining restaurant needed a sports bar that was visible from the entrance and integral to the existing space.  Because it was a budget sensitive project the furniture, banquettes, brick wall and wood covered columns and trusses were left in place.  The bar was inserted along the brick wall and a new bar- height raw edged wood table was placed adjacent to it.  Further defining the bar space is a new trellis ceiling element crafted from wood trusses that were removed.  Pendants placed over the new bar table helped to further define the bar.  New flooring, custom light fixtures and a screen were designed to update and refresh the dining space.
