The General Services Administration is located in a historic "E" plan building with narrow floorplates with high ceilings. Typically a central corridor provides access to office suites. In a few instances the corridor had been removed thus opening up the space and allowing light to penetrate from two side. Luckily, the Office of the Chief Architect inhabited one of those spaces. The goal for the renovation was to maximize this asset and provide a refined work environment that reflected the design excellence goals with which the OCA were associated.
