After purchasing a four-story non-descript office building Rand, a construction firm wanted a new headquarters that physically represented their client-focused, innovative and high quality emphasis and inspired a work culture of both professionalism and spirited fun. By placing open project manager offices along the window wall and custom low paneled workstations adjacent, a collaborative space was created and natural light was allowed to penetrate to the interior.
Particularly important to Rand was that their constant attention to detail and construction expertise was physically manifested through the use of several products and materials. These included a custom lacquer whiteboard and award cabinet, polished concrete and hardwood floors, raw edge countertops, movable glass walls that collapsed to create a stage for the “Rand band”, limestone wall panels, and custom Bubinga veneer and lacquer office workwalls and ceiling.
