Vista Equity Partners, a private equity firm required a new headquarters in Austin, TX that would accommodate their growing company and be a place to meet and entertain clients.  A transparent design was created that celebrates the Texas Hill Country views and supports an open work environment.  The conference room doors pivot to create a continuous event space when open and a full whiteboard work surface in the conference room when closed.  The rigorous plan is organized around a large building core.  Walnut veneer corner "boxes" at the partner boxes and art niches for their growing collection act as organizing elements in the space.  A continuous light band strengthens a continuity throughout the space and the timeless material palette of stone, lacquer and walnut panels reflects a modern Texas aesthetic.
